Skilled Manufacturing & Assembly Operatives

A1 is actively looking to recruit experienced and skilled operatives for our growing HVAC & refrigeration plant manufacturing factory based in Leeds.

A1 Engineering Solutions Ltd is a nationwide refrigeration and building services business which is committed to providing the very best customer service to our ever growing retail customer base. We have recently opened a factory in Leeds and to support this continued growth A1 is actively looking to recruit for its Plant manufacturing division, mainly for the food retail market.

Candidates should ideally have an engineering background and previous experience in plant manufacturing.  Brazing qualifications would be beneficial and the ability to work to scale drawings is required.  Ideally applicants will have a knowledge of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems and specialising in Pack Build.  Training can be given.

Applicants will be expected to work on their own and as part of a team.  Overtime will be available / required to accommodate customer demands.

Service Administrator

A1 is actively looking to recruit an Administrator to work in the busy Service & Maintenance department at our Warrington office.  

Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones within busy office
  • Accept jobs from Verisae, Ostara, RDM etc (customer systems)
  • Log jobs on CLIK and ensure fault codes are selected
  • Raise purchase orders through job
  • Update job progress on CLIK
  • Allocate calls to service engineers
  • Update customer system with job ETA’s
  • Update customer system with part ETA’s
  • Update dashboards in office with parts required
  • Manage day-to-day call process from inception to completion
  • Update client managing agent with paused parts daily
  • Update client managing agent on jobs daily
  • Chase suppliers for parts daily
  • Goal: Ensure parts are fitted within 24 – 72hrs of part failing or escalate to Account Manager
  • Populate customer Key Performance Indicator spreadsheet daily
  • Deal with customer issues & complaints – 1st point of call
  • Work with Account Manager to populate and manage PPM trackers
  • Produce quotes for specific customers, Account Manager to approve

Candidates should ideally have previous experience working in a busy environment on the telephone and using various computer software however training will be given.    Enthusiasm, team work, good work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential.  Applicants will be expected to work on their own and as part of the team.

Refrigeration Project Managers

A1 is actively looking to recruit experienced Refrigeration Project Managers with retail/supermarket experience.

Candidates should ideally have experience within the retail / supermarket sector.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to a high standard of quality to time, within scope and within budget
  • Daily management of subcontractors and installation teams
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage project from start to finish, taking full responsibility for project delivery
  • Collate costs and call offs for projects, to manage costs throughout and be KPI’d on the project
  • A general understanding of refrigeration principals and fundamentals
  • The understanding and ability to deliver key project management functions such as programmes, part ordering, Health & Safety, costing schedules, profit analysis & parts procurement
  • The ability to take full ownership and responsibility of their allocated projects ensuring that excellent quality and customer service skills are delivered from start to finish
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, team work, good work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential

Would be expected to work on their own and part of a team, A1 Engineering Solutions Ltd have a very strong team working ethic.   Must have a full driving licence.
